The Round Lake Area Exchange Club and sponsor, Diana’s Salon & Spa, are proud to announce the June Hometown Hero, U.S. Army Staff Sergeant Jonathan Boldt, a resident of Libertyville. He was registered for this honor by former Hometown Hero, SSG Jacob Schmitt of Antioch.
Boldt is a 2008 graduate from Eisenhower High School in Decatur, Illinois. He has been in the Army for 5 years and serves as Combat Engineer on a recruiting detail in Round Lake Beach. Boldt has been awarded the Army Commendation Medal three times, the Army Achievement Medal three times, Combat Action Medal, Afghanistan Campaign Medal, the Iraq Campaign Medals and others.

With the generous support of this month’s sponsor, Diana’s Salon & Spa, Boldt’s “Hanging with the Heroes” care package will be filled with granola bars and a Chipotle gift card. Also included is a personalized “Hanging with the Heroes” t-shirt (donated by Artrageous of Hainesville), letters from Round Lake Area School District 116 students, a specially made rosary for the military from Legion of Mary from St. Joseph’s in Round Lake and a piece of home.The Hometown Hero website is managed by Fokoz Creative Group of Grayslake. The Round Lake Area Exchange Club will present a plaque on his behalf Wednesday, June 24, at 7:30 a.m. at their annual Installation breakfast.
