The Round Lake Area Exchange Club and sponsor Kitch’n & Spice Libertyville, are proud to announce the September 2017 Hometown Hero, U.S. Air Force Senior Airman, Nicholas Schadd of McHenry. His step-mother, Jessica Schadd, of McHenry, registered him for this honor. Schadd is currently stationed in Arizona. Schadd’s honors include AF Outstanding Unit Reward; AF Good Conduct Medal, National Defense Service Medal, Global War on Terrorism Expeditionary Medal, Global War on Terrorism Service Medal, Air Force Expeditionary Service Ribbon, AF Longevity Service, Small Arms Expert Marksmanship Ribbon (Rifle), and AF Training Ribbon.

With the generous support of this month’s sponsor Kitch’n & Spice Libertyville, Schadd’s “Hanging with the Heroes” care package will include some of his favorite snacks, a personalized “Hanging with the Heroes” t-shirt, and letters from Round Lake Area Schools students.
