The Round Lake Area Exchange Club and sponsor, NICASA, are proud to announce U.S. Army Private First Class, Danny Murayama as the November hometown hero. He is a Round Lake Beach resident and 2011 graduate of Grayslake North High School. He was registered for this honor by his parents, Jesse and Becky Murayama also from Round Lake Beach.
Murayama has been in the Army for over a year and a half, he was chosen for air assault school and works with patriot missiles. He is currently deployed in Jordan. His family looks forward to his homecoming early spring, 2014.
The “Hanging with the Heroes” care package being sent to him will be filled with candy bars, Slim Jims, snacks and treats thanks to this months sponsor, NICASA . Also in the package will be a personalized “Hanging with the Heroes” t-shirt (donated by Artrageous of Hainesville), a piece of home and letters from Round Lake Area School District 116 students. Heroes also will receive a specially made rosary for the military from Legion of Mary from St. Joseph’s in Round Lake. The Round Lake Area Exchange Club will present a plaque to his family on Wednesday, December 11, at 7:30 a.m. at their meeting located at Panera Bread meeting room in Round Lake Beach.
Any and all military personnel serving overseas or in the USA from any of the Round Lake Areas, Hainesville, Fox Lake, Ingleside or surrounding areas qualify for the program.
